The Huichol Indians, whose pre-Hispanic culture still survives in the remote Sierra Madres ranges, live a life woven of magic and sacred mythology. Believing themselves to be that part of creation which entertains the Gods, Huichols are sustained by their earthly representatives - corn, peyote and the deer - thus symbolically renewing their divinity daily. We will explore the art of these creative people and try their technique for ourselves.

Introduction to Touch Drawing
Drawing Out Your Soul

When: Saturday, February 27, 2010
Time:
10:00 - Noon
Cost: $35 plus $5 materials fee
(If you wish to purchase your own materials you can do so at:  www.touchdrawing.com/7Products/ORDER.html - Touch Drawing Materials Kit - $42.00 plus shipping)

No artistic experience necessary!

Touch Drawing is a simple yet profound process. The technique involves moving your hands on paper that is over a surface of wet paint.  The resulting impressions are seen upon lifting the page. In drawing without tools, it feels as if lines come directly from your fingertips.  Multiple drawings are created in one session, and each takes you deeper into your self. The completed series is a visual record of your transformation.  Touch Drawing has endless applications as a tool for therapy, creativity, and spiritual awareness.

Testimonials

"I just visited your website and am very pleased to see such a wonderful environment for health and well-being in West Volusia. Bamboo Arts serves as an example of sustainability and natural healing combined in one location" Cheryl Floyd, publisher Volusia/Flagler Natural Awakenings Magazine

"Hi Saundra and Chris, I just wanted you to know that I really enjoyed the workshop this morning. The information was so helpful. The addition of the handout to supplement what was said will enable me to move forward and also share the information with a couple of my neighbors who have gardens. I love the excitement that people have over gardening and thanks to people like both of you, more and more people are getting involved.
Many thanks again. Love and light."
Jeanne
